Frequently Asked Questions
About Adapt Productivity
What does Adapt Productivity do?
Adapt Productivity helps organisations improve the way their people manage time, priorities, communication, and collaboration. Our practical training programs combine proven productivity frameworks with the tools people already use every day. We work at three levels: individual productivity, team culture, and leadership effectiveness.
Who are your programs designed for?
Our programs are designed for professionals working in busy, knowledge-based roles within medium to large organisations. Participants commonly include leaders, managers, professional staff, project teams, executive assistants, and administrative teams. The programs are suitable for office-based, hybrid, and remote teams across a wide range of industries.
What makes Adapt Productivity different?
We’ve spent more than two decades focused on one thing: helping people work more productively. Our programs are grounded in real-world experience with organisations across banking, financial services, insurance, professional services, and manufacturing. The training is highly practical, with participants applying strategies to their own tools and workload during the session, and it’s designed to create lasting behavioural change rather than a short-term lift.
Who delivers the training?
Our programs are delivered by experienced facilitators from the Adapt Productivity team, led by founder Dermot Crowley. Dermot is the author of four books on productivity, including Smart Work, Smart Teams, Lead Smart, and Urgent! and has spent over 25 years working with organisations to improve how their people work.
How long has Adapt Productivity been operating?
Adapt Productivity was founded in Sydney in 2002. Over more than two decades, our programs have been continually refined to reflect the changing nature of work, and the tools people use every day.
Our Programs
What training programs do you offer?
We deliver three core programs. Smart Work builds individual productivity skills. Smart Teams improves how teams communicate, meet, and prioritise together. Lead Smart helps leaders sharpen their own productivity while setting the tone for their team. The three programs are designed to work independently or together, depending on what your organisation needs.
Do you offer public workshops for individuals?
No. We specialise in delivering in-house programs for organisations. This allows the training to be tailored to your team’s tools, workflows, and specific challenges, so the learning is immediately relevant and practical.
How are your programs delivered?
Our programs can be delivered onsite, online, or as conference masterclasses. Online programs are run as interactive sessions spaced to allow time for practice and implementation. Onsite workshops are hands-on, with participants working directly in their own productivity tools. Masterclasses suit larger groups at offsites or conferences.
Can programs be customised for our organisation?
Yes. We work closely with each client to tailor the content, examples, and focus areas to suit your team’s size, industry, and specific challenges. Whether it’s email overload, meeting culture, hybrid collaboration, or prioritisation, we adjust the program so it’s immediately relevant to how your people work.
What is the ideal group size?
It depends on the program. Workshops typically work best with groups of up to 15-25. Masterclasses can accommodate much larger groups and are well suited to conferences and team offsites. Leadership programs tend to work best in smaller groups of 12 to 18. We can advise on the best format once we understand your needs.
Tools & Technology
What tools or platforms do your programs cover?
Most programs are delivered using Microsoft 365, including Outlook, OneNote, Planner, and Teams. The training can also be adapted for organisations using Google Workspace. We focus on helping people get more from the tools they already have, rather than introducing new ones.
How do your programs address AI in the workplace?
AI features are increasingly built into everyday productivity tools. Our programs explore how these features can assist with routine tasks and reduce administrative effort, while helping teams maintain clear priorities and focused work practices. The goal is to make AI useful without letting it add to the noise.
Follow up & Support
Is there follow-up support after training?
Yes. All participants receive supporting resources including books, implementation guides, and access to video follow-up series. For organisations that want to go further, we also offer follow-up sessions and ongoing support to help embed the changes and make them stick.
Do participants receive materials?
For most programs, participants receive a copy of the relevant Smart productivity book, along with workbooks, setup guides, and access to digital follow-up resources including the Making It Stick video series.
What kind of results do participants report?
Participants consistently report feeling more in control of their time and priorities. Many reclaim around an hour per day of more productive time by implementing the strategies from the program. Teams report less email noise, fewer unnecessary meetings, and a stronger shared language around how they work together.
