Smart Productivity Masterclass

Conference or offsite keynote

When coming together for a conference or team offsite, your aim will always be to create an agenda that provides a mix of connection, alignment, inspiration and learning. You’ll want to set the team up for success in the months ahead, and remove some of the barriers that get in the way of them doing their best work and achieving their goals.

If boosting productivity is a priority, incorporating a Smart Productivity Masterclass into your next conference or team offsite is a great way to achieve this. The masterclass, which can be tailored to solve your most pressing productivity issues, is an inspiring two-hour session that provokes deep thought about how the team is currently working, and provides powerful strategies that can be implemented the minute they return to work.

Personal and team productivity

The Smart Productivity Masterclass, based on Dermot Crowley’s Smart Productivity book series, takes an innovative approach by exploring both personal and team productivity in the one session. We leverage the opportunity of having your entire team as our audience to provide strategies that boost personal productivity, as well as offer team-oriented approaches to reduce productivity friction.

Tailored to address the unique challenges and pain points your team are having, we create a bespoke masterclass that will be embraced and implemented by the whole team. Whether you want to move towards a more efficient use of email, want to help your team create more balance in their busy schedules, or want to help them make the shift from reactivity and urgency to a focus on importance, this tailored masterclass is the optimal way to set your team up for success.

Our approach

The Smart Productivity Masterclass tackles productivity on two levels – personal and team.  The aim of the session is to develop both the personal skills of individual team members, while at the same time guiding the team as a whole to embrace behaviours which reduce the productivity friction that is created when we work together in a complex workplace.

The session is based on our acclaimed Smart Work training program, but is delivered in a more condensed format to fit into your agenda. We cover each of the core Smart Work concepts around Actions, Inputs and Outcomes, but design the masterclass with emphasis on one of these productivity topics. This emphasis is driven by you and the needs of your team. Below are three options for consideration.

You choose your preferred productivity topic based on the below options:

1

Actions Emphasis

If your team is struggling to cope with their busy schedules, and their never-ending task list, we can focus on elite-level action management strategies. This will help them get in control of their workload, create balance in their compressed schedules and make time for important priorities. We will also examine team strategies to create a more balanced and effective meeting culture, freeing up space for other important work.

2

Inputs Emphasis

Alternatively we can build a masterclass with an focus on effective email management. To start with, we will show your team how to get in control of their email and inboxes. We will then look at how your team uses email as a communication tool, and cover strategies to reduce the volume of email noise across the team. Your team will learn to use email in a more mindful and purposeful way, saving everyone time, energy and focus.

3

Outcomes Emphasis

A third option for your masterclass is to focus on the work that has real impact. We all want to spend more time on the things that matter, but many of us get distracted and derailed by the busyness and urgency of the day. We will help your team prioritise their work in a more meaningful way, considering importance as well as urgency. You will build a common language around prioritisation, and focus more on the things that matter.

The Smart Productivity Masterclass helps to replace existing habits and behaviours with more productive ones. It provides an opportunity for your team to look at new ways of working that serve both the individual and the team. Participants walk away with a head full of exciting ideas, and an armful of useful resources which can be implemented immediately back in the workplace. This is the perfect session to add a practical and inspirational element to your team gathering.

Key Masterclass Inclusions:

  • Masterclass briefing and design
  • Two hour conference or team offsite masterclass (can be expanded or contracted if necessary)
  • No maximum limit on participants
  • Engaging blend of time management principles and technology strategies
  • Access to Smart Work implementation resources and website
  • Can be run online, but works best as a live event at your team offsite or conference
